A copy of your previous license disc renewal page (must show TARA code and expiry date) to estimate the renewal cost.
A clear copy of the vehicle owner's identity document.
Proof of address: a bank statement or a municipal utility bill from the City of Johannesburg, Mogale City, or City of Tshwane, not older than 3 months.
If the utility bill is not in your name, the account holder must provide an affidavit declaring that you reside at the address. This affidavit must be accompanied by the utility bill and a copy of the account holder’s ID.
If you live in an informal settlement, you must submit a letter from the ward councillor confirming your address, with an official date stamp.
Completed ALV form – Application for Licensing of Motor Vehicle.
Roadworthy Certificate – only required if the vehicle is used for public transport or is classified as a heavy load vehicle.
Signed affidavit.
